The Right Response of Continuing to Witness

Key Passage: Acts 8
Date: June 22, 2025

Your Bible’s to Acts chapter number eight tonight, Acts chapter number eight. We have been going through the book of Acts. We want to review just a little bit, get her mind going that way.

Acts chapter number one, what happens to Jesus? Acts chapter one, he ascends. Good, good. He ascends. It goes up.

The 120 people meet in upper room, and what do they do? I hear, that’s about all here, was it? That’s too kidding. 120 people in the upper room. What do they do now? Ten days per me. Yeah.

Chapter number two, Buckingham, Acts, the day of Pentecost. How many people saved and baptized about? 3,000. Good. Just a great moving of the Lord.

Acts chapter number three, these two preachers go to the temple by the gate, beautiful. There’s a lame man laying there, lame from his mother’s womb, 40 years old, above 40 years old. What was those two preachers? Two preachers. Peter and John, what did they say? Every preacher says this. What’d they say? That’s a preacher for you. I ain’t got no money. That’s a preacher for you. They got all kind of money. They ain’t got no money. That’s what I’ll say, you know.

Chapter number four, what happens? Peter and John, they, 5,000 there, men say, and Peter and John get put in jail, get threatened, whatnot. And…

Then the end of chapter number four, this guy sells his land. Looked like that’s an extra land. He sold it. Gave all to the church. Later the apostle’s feet. What was his name? Joseph’s good. And then his surname, the apostle surnamed him. Barnumann. Good. Both right. Look at there. I’m a politician. Nobody’s wrong. I better get serious here. I’m going to get in trouble if I keep going.

Chapter number five, this couple, they said, well, you know, Joseph or Barnabas, he got all this glory and credit. We wanted a little bit of that. And so they lied about how much they gave. What was their name? What happened to them? I can give you an impersonation of them. They’re dead and they’re gone, both of them.

And signs and wonders persecution at the end of that chapter beat with rods.

Chapter number six is the shortest chapter in the book of Acts and the first part of it they were dealing with church anytime you get people people get and say people can just grow things are happening there’s going to be problems that’s just part of it and really a two-part solution to it they had to

Procedures good. That’s one of them. Procedures and to give the workout. Somebody else? Delegate. Delegate and start a procedures. The deacons and all on. That’s exactly what happened. God bless. They were multiplied greatly then. Pretty amazing there.

Then chapter number seven is the interest. We were talked about it last week. A lot of you were working in VBS. Praise the Lord for that. You’re right where you should be. But some of us are over there.

Chapter number seven starts off of the high priest he asked four words. It’s in verse number one right there. I don’t have memorized either. I’ve got to look it up. Yeah, are these things so? They had accused Stephen of all these things. And here’s the thing. The high priest asked a four-word question. Are these things so? It leads to the longest chapter in the book of Acts and the longest sermon in the book of Acts. Don’t ask a preacher a question, man.

It really is. The longest chapter, the longest sermon. Man, he preached. He gave it to him a hot. As a great sermon, he covers what they were accusing him of, and really preaches in Israel a lot. They went into frenzy, really. We discussed it last week. They started biting him. It says gnashing on him. That’s what it says. Crazy. I think it was a demonic frenzy.

And they ended up murdering him. He was our first martyr after Jesus Christ. Of course, Jesus Christ was martyred on the cross, laid down his life. But it’s amazing how similar. So many things about Jesus, death on the cross, and then the similarity, Stevens. Just so many things accused by the high priest. Just so many of the things that are accusing him of, the temple and destroying it and so on.

Father forgives them and, you know, lay not this into their charge. And Stephen looked up and he saw Jesus standing on the right hand of the Father. I think Jesus stood up to welcome him home and said, you’re dying just like me. And, by the way, Stephen said an example, just like Jesus did. Stephen followed it. And by the way, someone mentioned this last Wednesday night after service. Now I hadn’t thought about it.

But it wasn’t that much longer after Jesus’ death, burial resurrection. It would have been interesting if Stephen wasn’t at the cross and saw how Jesus died and said, I’m going to follow in his footsteps when that time came. And he just died, very similar to how Jesus died. So many things similar about it. We pointed them out last week. And really, he just set the stage. Dark ages, 50 million people died.

A lot of Christians die. A lot of people say that many millions of slaughtered. And even today in some of the bloods and countries are getting slaughtered. And yet the first martyr after Jesus Christ, his second example. No, don’t recant. Don’t give in. Don’t get mad. Don’t get bitter. His face shone like an angel. And boy, how he set an example for all of us to live for the Lord, even to the point of death. It’s awesome. Stephen was awesome.

Last little line of verse number seven, he fell asleep. It wasn’t mad and bitter and all the rest of that. He just fell asleep and went home to glory. Amen.

And then we’re going to pick it up in chapter number eight. We briefly talked about some of this last week, but we’re going to try to go back to just the first part here of tonight’s message. Acts chapter 8, verse number one. Would you please stand? Acts 8 and verse number one, if you’re able to show the word of God respect.

Acts 8 in verse number one. And Saul, of course we know later on became Paul. And Saul was consenting unto his death. That’s teasing. Man, they just went in that frenzy. They were biting on the guy. And then stoned him, murdered him. Probably a bloody mess with all over. And the Bible points out, and Saul was conceding to the look in chapter seven verse number 58 and cast him out of their own city just like Jesus outside Jerusalem and stoned him and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet whose name was so notice how the Bible keeps pointing that out we won’t get to this tonight but we will later on and chapter number eight starts off when Saul was consenting unto his death and at that time there was a great persecution against the church which is at Jerusalem

There was already persecution, but now great. Just kind of like the floodgates of persecution were opened up. They killed this guy, and boy, they just went after him. It was like a demonic frenzy, and they just went after the church greatly. There was great persecution against the church, which is at Jerusalem. Notice that which is at Jerusalem.

And they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. The Bible’s wording all this just on purpose like this, as always. And devout men carried Stephen to his burial and made great lamentation over him. Yes, Stephen’s death had much to do with all this.

As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering into every house, telling men and women, committed them to prison. He’s going house to house. He’s looking. He’s searching for these Christians. Can you imagine him dragging people out, dragging them off to prison? Can you imagine if they were coming through your neighborhood going door to door?

And they just bust in there. And they say, you’re accused of being a Christian. One thing, would they have enough evidence to prove you’re a Christian? And imagine they’re dragging them off. That’s what’s going on.

Verse number four, therefore, they that were scattered abroad went everywhere and kept silent. Made sure nobody knew of their Christians.

Now for just a bit, let’s focus on this tonight.

I’m always amazed how God, God is just amazing at bringing good out of man’s evilness, sinfulness, tragedy. God is just, he’s amazing at that. That’s what happens. These demonic killers biting on Christians and…

Killing them, stoning them, and God brings amazing good out of it. Would you look back over in chapter number one of Acts? And that’s when Jesus ascended and everything else that Sarah said happened in chapter number one. And look at Jesus’ command there in Acts 1. Look at verse number 8, would you please? And notice exactly what Jesus says. His last words, he’s ascending up. Don’t get stuck on the time, verse number seven, then chapter, then verse number eight.

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

And ye shall be witnesses under me, under Jesus. By the way, you can show that Jehovah Witnesses under Jesus under me. Notice that both at the same time, both in Jerusalem. Will they have been doing that? They have been having a revival in Jerusalem. Thousands saved it. Wonderful. Both in Jerusalem and in all Judea. Now Jerusalem was in Judean. All right. It would kind of like be Smyrna is in Tennessee type thing. But not just in Jerusalem, in all of Judea.

Then he says, end in Samaria. Well, that’s kind of like the next state up north. That would be somewhat like Kentucky. All right. Most Kentuckians need to be saved. Amen for sure, Brother Glib. And I’m teasing, of course. But all of them. But that’s in Samaria. Then he says, unto the uttermost part of the earth. Now help me out. You’ll know the answer. Many of you know. You’ve heard this before many of you.

But were they obeying, actually? Were they, were they obeyed it? No. They were seeing thousands saved in Jerusalem, which was wonderful, but they weren’t leaving Jerusalem. As a man, I like this, is where everybody’s at. These are their headquarters. Everybody getting saved here. I’m just going to stay right here in Jerusalem. They weren’t leaving.

And Jesus had made it clear his last words. He said, yes, in Jerusalem, but not just in Jerusalem in all of Judea. And then going up there in Kentucky, and he said, get this thing around the world to the uttermost part of it. And they weren’t doing that. They were stuck in their little bitty us for it, no more mentality. Well, everything’s wonderful. Let’s fellowship. Let’s have a good time. Let’s just stay here. They were seeing people save. I don’t want to misjudge it. But they were just stuck there. And…

Persecution came. Oh, it was severe. People are getting killed. Saul is going into every house, I mean, every one of them. No escape. He’s coming to your house, and he’s going to come in there, and he’s dragging men and women, not just men and women. He’s dragging them off to jail. That’s what’s going on. And yeah, in this demonic frenzy, all this is going on, God brings good out of it because of out of that,

Out of that, verse number four comes right there. It’s a wonderful verse. Chapter 8, 4, we just read it. It’s wonderful. Therefore, what’s the therefore? Because of all this persecution, therefore, they that were scattered abroad. Why were they scattered abroad? Because they were obeying Jesus? No, not really. Because they didn’t want to get arrested and thrown in jail. Because Saul was making havoc of the church. People are getting killed in Jerusalem.

Scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the gospel. The words I mean I mean they just went everywhere. God’s so good at bringing bringing good out of man’s messed up evil. Joseph’s brothers hated him, the Bible says literally they hated—that’s the Bible—they hated him.

Some of them were talking about killing him. And eventually, well, we’ll just sell him into slavery, slave trafficking, his brothers and sold him, and ended up over there in Egypt. And yeah, God, at the end of the day, what Joseph said over there in Genesis 50:20, “As for you, you meant for evil, but God meant it for good.” They bring to pass it. God’s amazing at bringing good out of man’s messed up sometimes sinful hate murder. It’s amazing.

I at some time I try to say how can God bring good out of it, but that’s what he does. Daniel’s born in the enemy’s country over there and they’re trying to indoctrinate him into the Babylonian way and yet God said I got a plan. Yes, you’re maybe he wasn’t born, maybe he was a teenager, we don’t know when, but he got moved over there into Babylon as a young man, and yet God broke it. Daniel rose literally to second in command under three—one of them was temporary—but under three other kings. I wonder how many thousands got to say by Daniel’s example. We think, we don’t know. We think the wise men that saw the star in the east, they learned about that star. We think through Daniel, the Magi. The wise men. They don’t know that. Numbers of that 2217 or something mentions, and that’s where we, that’s the scripture where we think it came through, Daniel, to these wise beings. I’m just saying all the good, God’s amazing at bringing good out of—I mean, look at the cross.

Evil, wicked men are killing the sinless Son of God. He’s never had a dirty fault, never been mean to one person, that never said anything he shouldn’t have said. He’s innocent. He’s perfect. Pilate watched him twice over there and said, “I find no fault in him.” On the fake trial there, I can’t find anything wrong with him, and yet they crucified him.

And yet out of that, evil, wicked, sinful thing, God brought good out of it. Salvation for all mankind of evil. God’s just amazing at that.

Now, they reacted right. I would say that. Go back to that verse or before. We keep emphasizing that verse of before. Yes, I don’t think they’re really doing the right thing. They were staying in Jerusalem. But when they were scattered at a verse of before, therefore they…

They that were scattered abroad went everywhere, and they preached the word. And here by that, they reacted right to the persecution. It calls them to scatter. That preach, there’s several Greek words that’s translated into preaching there. And that one really has to do with evangelizing.

I think over there when he says, “preach the gospel to every creature.” He’s not talking about the Greek word. It’s not that one, nor is it just cry loud. No, that one there is about more like to every creature, not to every congregation. What about what I get in the gospel? Same thing here. He’s talking about, man, they went everywhere preaching or sharing the good news, the gospel, evangelizing, preaching the word.

You know, they had their Old Testament. They didn’t have it compiled like that. But the Old Testament, Isaiah was very familiar. And they were showing from the word that Jesus is the Messiah. He’s the Savior of the world. Here’s what I’m saying. They didn’t quieten down. You know, the temptation was, oh, my goodness, we had to run because persecution. So let’s don’t start the same problem over here in Samaria wherever that was going on Jerusalem. Let’s just be quiet.

They didn’t do that. They didn’t get defeated. You know, you get opposition. Easy to get defeated. Easy to go in the corner and suck your thumb. I suck mine off. Have a pity party. You know, oh, it’s me. Nobody knows how to have it. I’ve been there. Eat some worms. I’m going to eat some worms and die. They could have did that. They could have been defeated. They could have been discouraged. They guess, well, we’re not going to preach anywhere else because they got us in trouble, you know, last time. They didn’t do that. They got to react right. Oh, man, they reacted right, and God brought so much good out of it. The gospel now is being spread, not just in Jerusalem, but out all over. It’s God’s plan.

Look over in Romans 8, Romans 8. You’ll know the verse. Many of the got it memorized. It’s a wonderful promise from God. Romans 8, sometimes, many times, and I know it by heart, like many of you do, but I overlook it. I don’t think about it. It’s a great, great promise. Romans 8, and look in verse number 28, you’ll know it many of you. Tell you what.

Would you read it or quote it out loud with me? Would you? Here we go. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

And we know that all things work together for good. God can bring good. That’s God’s promise. Now, don’t you just…

Look here for just a second. Now I want you to ask the Holy Spirit, everybody right there, you ask him, what’s the opposition I have in my life? For them, it was this persecution that caused them just scattered. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s somebody at work giving you a hard time. Maybe it’s finances. Maybe it’s hell. What’s your opposition? For you, for you, what’s hindering you right now? What’s your opposition? I want you to ask the Holy Spirit. Think about it. You personally, what is it for you?

Now, I want you to do this. Ask the Holy Spirit, am I reacting right? Am I reacting right to this opposition in my life? Am I getting defeated? Am I dialing back shining for the Lord because of that? Am I going in pity mode? What’s going on? Am I handling it?

And let me say this. Now would you tell the Lord, Lord, I’m going to try to trust you for this opposition, whatever it is. These folk, they kept preaching the word. So they said, all right, Lord, I’m going to trust you. I know what happened back in Jerusalem. We had to leave town because of that. But you told us to preach, you get the gospel, and I’m going to keep doing that. There’s some trust there. Would you say, Lord, help me have to trust it during this opposition, whatever it may be. Help me, have me to react right. I want to react right. Whatever it is in your life. I’m talking about right now, in your heart and your mind. Just tell you that.

And so very key. And God is amazing at bringing good. It’s just incredible. How many ministries in our church, I know some of them that came out of tragedy in our church. And God’s amazing at just bringing good out of tragedy. Let’s trust him. Let’s do our best to react like he wants us to. Now let’s keep going. Let’s keep going here. We’re going to see a little bit more of the good that the Lord brought through these disciples of the Lord that reacted right.

Look at it look at verse number five you will act eight look in verse number five verse number five then Philip now I’ll just stop for just like here Philip remember over there chapter number six they the widows the the probably Jewish widows from from the island of Crete if remember right and

And they were getting neglected, and so they got these seven deacons, these seven. And the one we hear so much of a Stephen, one just got killed. But another one of those was Philip, this guy right here. He was also often he’s called Philip the Evangelist. They kind of separate him from it. He’s not the Philip, the Apostle, two different guys. This is Philip the Deacon, Philip the Evangelist, all right? So that’s who he was talking about, one of these other guys.

He saddened me. And then Philip went down to the city of Samaria. Now wait a second. We just read verse number eight, chapter number one. Jerusalem and all Judea. And then what’s the next one? And yeah, now they’re starting to follow the Bible pattern that Jesus gave it. Jerusalem, Judea. Now they’re getting into Samaria.

Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ unto them. Praise Lord, he reacted right. I’m not going to back up. I’m going to keep telling people about Jesus. And the people with one accord gave heed under those things which Philip spake.

Let me just stop there. And the people with one accord. Samaria had all kind of a mixed crowd there. Some Jewish people, a lot of Gentile people. A lot of half and half people. I mean, Samaria was just all kind of people there. The melting pot, if you will, Chicago, you know. And yet they all, it’s amazing, they all, man, with one accord. And you’ve got revival going on here. You have it in Jerusalem. Now you’ve got not just in Syria, too, now. Everybody said, wow, with one accord in this. A large city. They said, wow, this guy’s, he’s got something. He’s preaching the truth.

First number six, and the people, the one of the court gave heed of those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. God gave them special miracles, wonders, and signs. We’ve talked about that.

Verse number seven, for unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many that were possessed within. And many taken with pauses, and that were lame, were healed. I mean, you’ve got demons getting cast out. A lot of satanic activity going on, but God’s bringing revival.

Had lady texts me today, and she said, well, I don’t want to get in, I probably should start. You know, you start a story. You’re like, all right, I’m stuck now. But she felt like she’s had demonic activity going on, and maybe so. I don’t know. Hey. Praise the Lord, we serve a God a whole lot and pot more power than those demons, amen. Greater is He that is in the world. He’s a loser, the old devil is, amen. Smutty and faith. Yesterday, someone said, reminds you of your past, remind him of his future, amen. Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Lawless demons are getting cast out. People are getting healed.

Look at this verse number eight, and there was great joy in that city. I’m talking about God brought all kind of good out of that bad. People getting saved, people getting healed, demons getting cast out. It’s revival going on. So much so that Peter and John up at Jerusalem, they said, man, they got revival going on down there in Samaria. Let’s go down there and help out with this thing.

I mentioned it earlier. We’re not going to read some of this, but anywhere people getting saved, life’s getting changed, growth, problems arise and problems arose. A guy named Simeon, Simon, having to say it, Simon. And he had been, he just kind of bewitched these people with his sorcery. And he got saved, though. And he wanted the power they had, laying on the hands of the Holy Ghost speaking, he wanted all that, wanted it for money’s sake. Peter got all over him. And he responded, right? Yeah, you’re right. You’re right. But I’m just saying problems arose. God took care of God sent the right people. And we’re just kind of, we’re hurry along.

We’re down in verse number 26. Chapter 8, verse number 26. We’re jumping through a lot of that. Just briefly explained it. This revival is going on in Samaria. We got it in Jerusalem. We got it in Samaria. Now in verse number 26.

And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip saying, guys, they got revival going on. They can handle it. They got it going on. They got a handle there. And go toward the south and to the way that goes down from Jerusalem unto Gaza. That’s where a lot of the wars have been going on. There’s a road. They say back then there was a road. Get on that road going down from Jerusalem to Gaza. That’s what it’s going to do. Which is desert.

And he arose, Philip, and went, behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace, Queen of the Ethiopians. He’s an important man. Secretary of the Treasury in Ethiopia. Who had charge of all her treasure and had come to Jerusalem for to worship. God will be working that man’s heart. He’s coming to Jerusalem. He’s trying to find that once. What’s the truth? Who is this Savior? Who is this? Is this Jewish religion real or not? Man, it came to Jerusalem. Trying to worship. God’s working in his heart.

Verse number 28 was returning, sitting in his chariot. Reading Isaiah, the prophet. Then the Spirit said unto Philip, go near, join thyself to this chariot. By the way, we know what happened because we got 20/20, you know, hindsight. Philip didn’t know that. He just obeyed. He just obeyed. All right. Don’t we go over that chariot? All right. He goes over there and joins himself to it.

Verse number 30, and Philip ran thither to him and heard him read. He didn’t know what he’s reading before. Heard him read the prophet Isaiah and said, “Understandest thou what thou readest?”

Let me just stop there for a second. He’s reading Isaiah 53. Out of the Old Testament, I think it’s probably the clearest place in all of the Old Testament to give the gospel. I mean, it’s just very clear about what all Jesus would suffer and go through. I’m confessing here. I’ve told myself I’m going to memorize a good portion of Isaiah 53. I’ve never had done it. Shame on me.

But it’s a great passage in the Old Testament about Jesus that is suffering on the cross, by his stripes were healed and on and on and it’s just a wonderful. That’s what he’s reading. And he’s reading the perfect place from the Old Testament about Jesus. And yet he still said, man, I can’t understand it. How can I accept some men show me the importance of men and ladies are just personal telling people about Jesus?

So many, you know, a lot of people aren’t going to get saved from the invitation. We have this happen so much around here. But after the invitation, after everything’s over, so-and-so, we’ll catch them, and start telling them personally, and they get saved. If I remember right, that’s what happened with Olivia, and God had been working at her heart, in others, so many others. I mean, it just, someone needs to go to them and talk to them.

He was reading the Bible. It just the important. It just shows really the important. I’m all for the Bible, you know that. But someone’s got to go tell them, just personal one-on-one. D.L. Moody said, if I’ve got to have a thousand converts to get to heaven saved, he said, I don’t want to trust the Pope, but no way. He said, I want to go to personal just one-on-one solely. Just one person talking to them.

And so he said, how can I? Some man should guide me.

Verse number 31, I just read, and he said, “How can I, except some man should guide me?” And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. “The place of the scripture which he read was this: He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and as a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth. In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.”

And the eunuch answered Philip, said, “I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?”

Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. I mean, it’s like uh it’s like it’s like slow pitch right there right where Philip needed—I mean just just handed him in the platter just not here’s we’ll just won’t finish out with it so I don’t be long tonight.

You know, it’s amazing when we’re faithful to witness, and not just, yes, Saturday, Thursday, night, whenever, but I’m talking about in the grocery store, your co-worker, the aunt’s uncles, wherever. It is amazing when I’m faithful to witness how God brings my path to enter across the path of someone who’s working in the heart. Just amazing how that happens.

If I’m not faithful, I wonder, sometimes I wonder, there’s been times. So many times, unfortunately. I have not witnessed like I ought to, and God’s let me to do it, and I said, Lord, I’m sorry. And I said, Lord, would you be merciful to me, forgive me? And would you give them another chance to cross the path of a soul winner, whether it be me or someone else? And sometimes I wonder, I wonder how many faithful soul winners God has to bring them across their path. Maybe God said, well, typically Paul’s a pretty good soul winner, but boy, I missed it that day. And God said, well, I gave you your chance.

Just so important that I don’t miss. I mean, it’s amazing. God had Philip so ready, and he led him right across the path.

Our missionary Sunday morning did a wonderful job. I love that Sunday morning. It’s great. And as you know, he mentioned about the church at Philippi how it got started. Paul and his missionary team, actually in the city of Philippi, they went to the river to have a prayer meeting. That’s why they went to the river. But when they went to the river having a prayer meeting, they saw those ladies over there washing clothes, and they said, well, we might as well witness wherever we’re at. And they started witnessing, and that lady, said, our purple, Lydia. God had been working in her heart. She’s ready. She got saved. She had a business. She said, come on, I got enough houses, whatnot. I didn’t come over here to live with us. They started that church out of her house. But I’m just saying, they went over there to pray, but they witnessed. And it wasn’t a coincidence that she was there at that time.

I was at a preacher’s fellowship yesterday, and a Spanish guy is starting a church. It’s already up and going. He took a church, actually, but just a young church. But he’s out of a bigger church, and one of the staff members that church, he used to go to this church, and I said, hey, do you see so-and-so? And he said, yeah, we’ve been talking to it up. And he said, he got, you know, reached at the church here and all that. And he said, he said one of his old friends, got him to come to the church.

And I forgot this story. Before, years ago, him and this other guy that used to race goat carts together. Now, you think, goat carts, but they had run down the track of a goat cart 70 miles an hour. Man, you’re sitting a couple inches off the ground going 70 miles an hour. That’s fast for it. And I tell you what. Almost as fast as electric scooter, hey, me? Better be careful there, you know.

But my mind started thinking about all that, and that’s how it came. How this guy come. And I don’t want to, a lot of you go sold him, too, so I don’t want to say me, me, me. But I went back, my mind went back to where the church is very young, and I knocked on the door. And when I knocked on the door, they came out, and I said, you know, Pastor Chisgar starting to show. Where did the church is in the storefront? Early into, I think we’re in a second building there, and the guy said, yeah, we know who you are. We were talking about you right now. Man, that’s kind of scary when they say that, you know. And his aunt was there, and they had seen that little storefront and been talking about it, just the timing. They came, he and being our song leader, and from that a whole lot of people came to their church, just families and just kind of the trickle effect, you know.

And then after this one guy, I was talking to him about yesterday. And they were already saved. The people are knocking on the door. But I’m just saying when you’re faithful to witness, God brings your path across. And the importance of Philip was ready. He went to Samaria. He preached the gospel there. God said, oh, your work’s done there. You know, other people got that taken care of. And I’ll go over here and witness. And God leads you to the right place, the right time. It’s amazing how he does that when I’m faithful to witness. That’s so key.

And by this guy, this Ethiopian, he had been over to Jerusalem to worship God. Maybe he didn’t get all his answers, so he’s riding back in this chariot reading Isaiah 53. And God said, let me ring a soul winner. I wonder how many Ethiopian eunuchs I passed by. I did witness them. I missed them. But when we’re just faithful, I thought about that tract. You always hear me talk about that tract that my mom got saved from and our whole family.

I don’t know. I don’t tell often, but it was a track. Some guy, we didn’t know who the guy is, but he put a track out in the hospital, Plenty of Florida. And actually my dad’s mom, my grandma, my dad’s side, got it, but she was, my dad’s full blood in Hungarian, and they couldn’t read any English, couldn’t speak real good English. And so she got that track, and said, well, I can’t read. I don’t even know why she got it. She couldn’t read it. And she gave it to my mom. And then let her on, I put it in the drawer, let her on, God was working. She got that track out.

Now, I’m just saying when you’re faithful to witness, it’s exciting to see what God does, just the right place at the right time. God, time and chance to the mall, Ecclesiastes. He said, God’s in control of that. But am I faithful?

Well, Dan Rothwell, Brother Patrick Reddeny, just one of the most faithful personal soul winners of our missionaries. He’s just amazing. He’s awesome at it. I’d like to be more like that. And as we’re faithful to witness, God brings a coworker along that he’s working in their heart. And God brings a neighbor just happens to be living down the street from—just happens to be there that God’s working in the heart.

And you’re in the grocery store and and and you just happen to be in the certain aisle getting ice cream maybe come on now ice cream mint chocolate chip Talking ship cookie day. Come on now, you know. Low carb, of course. You know what it is. But anyway, just right. And as I’m faithful to win the soul, try to win the soul, just give out the gospel. He brings them along our path. And he leads it, that’s what he did with Philip. He led him right there. And this man, God has been working his heart. That’s why God works. It’s amazing as I’m faithful, ready to tell somebody about Jesus.
