Turn your Bibles, if you would, to Philippians chapter number two. Philippians chapter number two. And praise God for God’s people, just keep going. And what a blessing they are.
That is a great, great song also. Philippians chapter number two in God’s word this morning. The title of it will be, “You Can Do What God Wants You to Do.” You can do what God wants you to do.
We are getting close to epidemic proportions of God’s people just kind of giving up in a lot of different ways. Personally, I want to focus this morning on: You can do what God wants you to do. If Satan gets you where you are defeated, it is a spirit that comes about you. He has got you. As long as you think, “I can’t,” you are right, you can’t. And it is not a biblical thing.
He has given His promises. I love it if the Lord would just build our faith a little bit this morning. Pray for that in just a moment. God build your faith, my faith. That is what we need. Faith is a victory that will overcome the world through faith in Christ.
In Philippians chapter number two, we are going to read just one verse, verse number 13. Would you please stand as I read God’s Word together? Philippians 2 and verse number 13. If you are there this morning, would you say amen? Amen. Good deal. You are glad you are in church today? Amen. Anyone tired today? We have a couple of those. They just drove from North Dakota. They said they are worn out, and they drove through the night, just got here about ten minutes before church started.
They have been here for a day or so. That will wear you out—a twenty-something-hour drive. So they have an excuse to sleep. Those of you just got over the bug, you have an excuse to sleep. But the rest of you, do not you fall asleep now. I am watching you, you know.
Philippians 2, one verse, verse number 13. Philippians 2, verse number 13. The Bible says, “For it is God, which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” Let us read that one more time, at least one more time, here if you would. Here we go: “For this God, which worketh in you, both to do—both two things—both to do, excuse me, both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
Would you read that out loud with me? Let us read that out loud together with you. I want this verse just to be in our minds. Here we go: “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
Would you pray with me that God builds our faith this morning? Lord, in our day and time, we just so much need faith. Lord, You told us one way we can get it is from Your Word. So, Lord, I do pray that this morning this section of Your Word, this promise, would build our faith. I need it, Lord. All of us do. Father, encourage us in the fact, the truth that we can do what You want us to do. Grow us in that area, Father, please. Send Your Spirit where only He can. Thank You for what You do, Lord. It is in Jesus’ name we pray and ask. Amen.

It all starts with a God-given desire. Take a young man. Take a young man. He never likes standing in front of anybody. I mean, if there are three people standing in front of him, he is scared to death. And yet God puts a desire in his heart to be a preacher.
Now, he is scared to death. He does not—you know, I mean, he is standing in front of three people, and those are his sisters, and he beat all them up, and he is still scared, as we say in Tennessee. He is scared, you know. And yet he is scared, and he wants to run from that, but inside of him, there is a desire. He would like to do that. He dreams of it. In fact, when the preacher is preaching, he is not listening to the preacher; he is dreaming about maybe one day he would be preaching and how he would do it and how God would bless and all that. As much as he kind of made him run from it and afraid of it, the desire is still in there. You see, it is in there because it is from God. Now, it might come and go.
There might be times it is—he just really cannot really feel or hear that desire a whole lot—but it never leaves. That is why the Bible says over in Romans 11, it says, “For the gifts and callings of God are without repentance.” God says, “I will never change My mind about these things right here.” But God puts that desire in our hearts.
I will never forget years ago, I worked at a little small welding machine shop and fab shop down in Florida. Every summer I would go down there in college, and I would work there. Every summer my goal was to witness to whoever was in the back shop where I worked. And I would witness to everybody besides one man. The Lord said, “Hey, you are about to go back to college. You have to witness to that fellow over there.” I said, “I know, Lord.” But everybody knew at lunchtime, he is going to go off to lunch. When he comes back, his eyes are going to be a little red, and everybody knows he has been taking some swigs, you know.
I had witnessed to the fellow and went over, and I witnessed to him. To my shock, to my amazement, he said, “I mean, I’m saved.” He said, “I know a lot of the Bible. You wouldn’t think of it, but I know a lot of Bible.” He told me this story: when he was a young man, he was saved, and God had called him to preach, but he never did it. He was just always running from that and never would fulfill it. I think some of the reason why he would drink is he would just kind of—he wanted to distance himself from that voice—and he would go, and it just kind of drowned his sorrows in the bottle. The honest truth was he still had the desire because God never leaves. He could not pastor, probably, at that point in his life, but he could go to an old nursing home and preach over there. He got right with the Lord. He needed to get right with the Lord, getting into a good church and preaching in a children’s church somewhere, you know. But God, He puts that desire in your heart.
I hope, ladies, He has not put a desire in your heart to preach. Every mom has a little preaching in her, though, you know. It is going to be different for you. But He puts a desire in your heart. Maybe it is a desire—I think about some young ladies in our church. Think about two different ones, and they believe God wants them to be a teacher one day and influence young people for the Lord Jesus Christ in different schools and school systems, and I believe God has put that desire in their heart. It may be a different desire for you, and it might come and go, but desires are from God if they are good and right. We will talk about in just a moment here how you know if it is from God or not. It might be a desire in your heart. I would love to see someone saved. I just looked at what the panel said. I looked to see Chris—Brother Chris Warms over there years ago. He had a desire—believe God gave a desire—to witness to his mom and dad both; let him to the Lord; they are in heaven today. God gives desires. It may be a desire. All right, all right. You have been honest about reading through the Bible. Maybe, “I am not going to read it through, but I am going to get in my Bible this year.” What? But a desire?
That is from God. It all starts with a God-given desire. Maybe for some of you young people, it is a desire to go to school and be a good testimony at school. That is a tough thing to be in our day and time. But God has put a desire in your heart: “I want to go to school, and everybody knows I am a Christian young lady. I am a Christian young man.” And not far from perfect. Do not go in there being a snob and putting your nose up, acting like you are better than everybody, all that. No, that is not going to accomplish anything. But going there, letting people know, “I have a true desire”—far from the desire—“to stand for the Lord at this school.” But desires—it all starts with the desire in your heart. God gives you. God gives you desires. I do not know what the desire may be for you. Maybe it is one day—it is a young lady—you say, “I would like to get married to a good guy, and I would like to help him be all God wants him to be for the Lord.”
Maybe it is a man. “I have a desire to be a godly man in my day and time.” We need godly men in America, don’t we? We are dying for them, honestly. And godly ladies, too. But sometimes you want to say, “Where are the men at in America?” And maybe that is your desire. “I would like to be one of those guys.” Everybody knows that fellow over there, he is just going to do the right thing. It is hard to do, but he is going to do the right thing.
Whatever the desire is in your heart—good desires. Maybe it is a desire to witness to your neighbor. Maybe it is a desire to—your relatives to be known as—they are far from perfect, but they are sincere, and they love you, a little bit of your connection in the family. Now, can I say this about desires? They are not all from God.
Sometimes it is hard to know: Is God giving me this desire or not? Anyone ever felt like that? I have felt like that myself. Let me give you just a couple of things that might help you figure out: Is this desire from God or not? Number one, when you are closest to the Lord, do you have that desire or not? Is it stronger when you are close to the Lord or not? That is just a little telltale sign.
What is your motive? Your motives are very, very important. Is it for God’s glory? Is it for your glory? Did someone else put that desire in your heart? Now let me talk to you for a moment about that. It may be that God put that desire in your heart, and God used someone else to kind of water that seed. But is that seed from God, or is it from man?
Those old preachers, they used to say, you do not want to go into the ministry—you do not want to be a preacher—unless God has called you to be a preacher. There is some truth to that. I remember when I was young and about to go off to Bible college, I went to my pastor and said, “Hey, how do I know this is from God or not?” He helped me discern a little bit. He said, “Hey, you have been around the ministry. You know you are not going to make much money in the ministry comparatively. You know the ministry. You know it is not always glory and fanfare and all that.” And it is a good desire. He helped me discern a little bit that this is from God in my life. That was helpful for me. And you ask the Lord, “So, Lord, I need to know, is this Your will, or is it my will? Is it biblical?” Someone says, “Hey, Pastor, I believe it—God has put a desire in my heart. I believe it is from God to divorce my spouse and find a good, godly spouse.” No, I do not believe that is from God. That is from your flesh. Is it biblical? Where does desire come from? But it all starts with a God-given desire.
Now listen, right now, just ask, Holy Spirit, what are the desires You are putting in me? Maybe you have a desire, and God, you know it right now in your heart and your mind: “I have a desire. I want to be in church all the time. I just want to be involved in church in 2021.” Maybe it is a desire in your heart: there is a little widow at the end of your street, and maybe it is a desire in your heart to be a blessing to her this year. Think about it. Pray, asking, “What is the thing, God?” For it is God which worketh in you—not man—for it is God which worketh in you, both to will—that is the desire. What is the desire?
I look out and say, Brother Josh, praise the Lord, he is getting involved in the bus ministry. I believe God has put that desire in his heart. The Lord—and Brother Anthony is begging him, “Hey, we need helpers. Get involved in the bus ministry.” Maybe the Lord is using Brother Anthony there. I am joking. What is the desire in your heart? What is the good, God-given desire in your heart? God gives those desires. Maybe it is to win over a sin in your life.
Maybe it is not to worry so much. Maybe it is personal revival. Now, number one, God gives you desires. Those are God-given. Number two, let us look back at the verse, if you would, please. Look back at the verse if you would, Philippians 2. Look in verse number 13: “For it is God, which worketh in you both to will and…” What is the next thing? Next two words: “…and to do.” God accomplishes. I think about the word, “Faithful is he who calleth you, who also will do it,” 1 Thessalonians 5:24. Hey, He puts the desire, and He is giving you desire.
Now, here is what is going to happen, and it is happening so much in our day and time: Satan wants you defeated where you think, “There is no way I can be that.”
I look out—and I am using names, probably too much today—but I see Emily Deck, and she is a good girl, been in our church for years, and she has some tough ways, tough rows to hoe in some ways, and there is school and different things and whatnot in her life. It would be very easy for Emily to say, “Hey, forget it, there is no way I can be that.” It would be very easy for you to say, “Well, this is 2021, man, it is getting pretty bad, pretty dark out there. Look at our government, how corrupt it is, and for us just to lose our faith.” I am saying, if God has put a desire in you, whatever that desire is, God is the one that will do it through you. It is promised: “For it is God which worketh in you, both to will and to do it.”
I look out and see Miss Gator, and they have got three little ones to raise for the Lord right now, you know. And praise the Lord, not Miss Gator, both of them together, you know.
They have a desire. Look, God has put that desire in the heart. That is a good, biblical, right? Desire. It will be God that does it through it. Now, whatever it is, you know, here is the thing: Satan loves to get God’s people just down in the mouth. “Well, we can’t do anything in our day and time. We can’t even go door-to-door soul-winning. Everybody is afraid of COVID. Everything is horrible right now,” and it just gets you defeated. Here is the thing: look, friend, we have a promise—God is the one that does it through you. God is always able, man. Amen. He is mighty to save. Friend, He can do the work.
Look over a couple of chapters. Look over in chapter number four, and look in verse number 13, probably one of the most familiar verses in all the Bible: Philippians 4:13. I would not be surprised if it is the most popular verse in all the Bible in our day and time. Philippians 4:13. God uses Paul to pen these words. He says, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
Can I say this? He is writing or penning this. God is telling him what to pen there. But he is penning that not when everything is going good, not when it is the best year they have ever had, not when everything is hunky-dory. He is penning that when he is in prison. And he is penning that to a group of people that has their trials. In fact, he is telling them, “Look, there have been times when I have not had much at all; there have been times here, and it does not matter if somebody gives to my needs or not, I can do all things through Christ.” That is a good attitude—the attitude of faith. I can do what God wants me to do.
Look back over wherever we are, Philippians 2. Look at the verse before. Philippians 2, look at verse number 12, if you would please. Philippians 2, verse number 12: “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” He is not saying work your way to heaven. He is not talking about salvation as far as heaven—of your life, living for the Lord. He said, “Look, I have been with you, and you did very well. I am in prison. I am not going to be able to be with you now.” That is what he said. Then he says, “But it is God which worketh in you, both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” He said, “Look, I cannot be there and help you right now, but God will help you fulfill what He puts in your heart to do.” Friend, whatever God has put in your heart to do for the Lord Jesus Christ, God will be the one that does it through you.
Satan is just all about defeating God’s people. “You can’t, you can’t, you can’t.” You are going to hear that voice. But then the Word of God and the Spirit of God will be there. So, no, no, no, it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do. Satan, you see, he does not defeat you by—oh, maybe just destroying your life. He starts by destroying your faith.
Peter, Satan has desired to sift you as wheat. Remember that? Remember Jesus telling Peter that? You remember that? What was Jesus—what Jesus said—“but I prayed that thy faith fail not.” So how was Satan trying to chew up Peter and spit him out? By getting his faith. Jesus knew how to pray for it. If he can get your faith…
It is amazing. Look over in Mark 6. I was not planning on looking at it, but it was amazing. Look over Mark 6. I just want you to keep your faith strong in the Lord, and that is working in your life. You can do what He has called you to do. Mark 6, look in verse number 5. Mark 6, verse number 5. This is an amazing passage. If I had not read it in the Bible, I would not believe it, but it is there. Mark 6, look at verse number 5. I am underlining one word. I will tell you what it is. Since it is a newer Bible, I have not got it underlined yet. Mark 6, look at verse number 5: “And he could”—that is the word I have underlined—“And he could,” speaking to Jesus, “and he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk and healed them. And he marveled because of their unbelief.” Roundabout villages teaching.
Now, why did the Bible say about God and flesh, “He could there do no mighty work”? Because we are like a faith. When Satan gets you in that spirit of, “Oh, it is all bad, and we can’t do anything for God,” and “I can’t be the Christian I ought to be; I will never be the prayer warrior God wants me to be”—when he gets you in that mood, “He could there do no mighty work” because you are like a faith. Faith is the key.
So many Christians are like the fish in the aquarium. They had put a thin little, little, little bit of glass in the middle of that aquarium, and that fish was on one side. He had tried to swim the other side. Every time he tried to swim over there, he would bump his nose. And his nose looked like your nose does after you blew your nose about 20,000 times in one week, you know, and talk about it, you know. Tissues laying all over your house, and your mom and your wife say, “Pick up your tissues,” you know. Pretty soon, you know what they did? They took that thin little layer of glass out, and that fish stayed on that side and never swam over to the other side. Some of you are not going to attempt to win anybody to the Lord because you think you cannot do it. Some of you are going to say, “Well, I am not going to try to read through my Bible. I am not going to try to read my Bible every day because I cannot do it.” As long as you are there, Satan has you right where he wants you to be at: “I can’t.” As long as you think that, you are probably right.
But faith—if God has given you a desire, that is from God. God will not only give you the desire, but He will do it. So often He uses the weak to do His work. That is the way He gets the glory. But there is a little weakness, if you will, in that, if we turn around and say, “I can’t do it because I am.” A friend of the Bible says, “His strength is made perfect in weakness.” But faith is key. Faith is key—believing. “God has called me to do this. God has put this thing in my life. God has allowed this hard time in my life, and I just believe if He has allowed it, He is going to carry me through that time.”
Look over in 1 Corinthians 10, look in verse number 13. I was thinking—and I do not think I have this thing altogether like I like to have it altogether—I was thinking about preaching on the 13s: Philippians 2:13, Philippians 4:13, and 1 Corinthians 10:13. All the 13s.
Look over in this verse, a great verse. First Corinthians chapter number 10, and look in verse number 13—not Philippians, excuse me, 1 Corinthians 10:13. It is a long verse, so stick with me. Do not get lost in the words. Think about what he is saying here. Here we go: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to men: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” A key word in that is “make a way.” You say, “I do not see any way I can go through that trial.” You are not going to see the way because He does not show you the way; He makes a way. What He says is He will make a way that you may be able to bear it. He always does.
But so many times we walk right up to the wall and we say there is no way. Excuse me, we walk right up to the wall and we stop a couple feet before the wall, and we say, “Well, there is no way,” and we turn around and go back. If we keep walking until our nose hits that wall, God is going to make a way. Look at the children of Israel in the Red Sea, and look when they crossed over joyfully. I said, “I want you to put your feet in the water there.” Listen, friend, I am saying, do not let lack of faith stop you from doing what God has called you to do. If someone said, “I could pastor a church for 21 years,” I say, “No way, I am not a leader, never have been a leader.” But God—He does the work when you step out on faith. Faith is the key. Do not let Satan destroy and get your faith and get you down in the dumps and blow—“I can’t, I can’t, I can’t, I can’t.” That is exactly what Satan wants you.
Maybe there is a sin you have given up trying to win over. Maybe it is worry. Maybe it is gossip. Maybe it is a critical tongue. Maybe it is negative thinking, and you just give in, “I will never overcome that weakness, that sin.” Maybe it is the bottle. I do not know. Maybe it is cursing. Maybe it is pornography. Maybe it is—it is—oh, just not being the husband or the wife, and you just kind of settled for a sub-par marriage, and you know it is not where God wants it to be. Friend, can I say this? Hey, get back in that fight to win over that sin.
Sometimes Christians are like locked up in a jail cell thinking there is no way out, and God has unlocked the door, but they are sitting over there in the seat in the jail cell, and they are never going to get up and just go push the door open. Jesus already unlocked it—your faith. I love Apostle Paul’s attitude: “I can do all things. I can do all things through Christ.”
Now think with me. We are going to be done pretty soon here. I know you do not believe it. We will be done pretty soon here. What desires has God put in your heart? What desire is it? God has put it in there. God—can I just go back for a second here? Believe the Lord wants me. Can I encourage you to work at having a great marriage? Not just surviving, but having a great marriage. By the way, if you want to have great kids, have a great marriage. Maybe that is it. But friend, I want you just let the Lord speak to you for just a moment. What is the desire He is putting in your heart?
Now, Satan is going to come along. The next thing that is going to happen, Satan is going to come along and say, “You tried that before. How many years have you had that Bible reading schedule, and how many times have you finished it?” That is what the devil is going to tell you. Some of you are laughing, saying, “Yep, that is me right there.”
I like the fellow who was out back shooting up in the air with a BB gun. Somebody walked out the back door and said, “What in the world are you doing?” He said, “I am shooting at the moon.” And he said, “You are never going to hit the moon.” He said, “I am going to get a whole lot closer than you.” And what is the desire God is giving you? Satan is going to try to destroy your faith. “You will never get there. You will never get to it.” That is what Satan will take. You tell Satan, “It is God that put the desire in there. It is going to be God that completes it, and I am by faith going to keep doing what God has called me to do.”
We do not know what 2021 holds. I do not know. I am not giving up on a lot of different things. You do not want to give up. I plan on giving up. But if 2021 holds the worst thing you can imagine…
Listen, listen. Even in the midst of the bad, God is still in people’s lives going to be fulfilling the desire He puts in their heart. If He put a desire in your heart for you to stand at work, it may be that God wants it to be dark at your workplace because the light shines brighter in darkness. But listen, whatever God puts in your heart, it does not matter how bad it gets, for “God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” It is not all about us; it is His good pleasure. But He puts that desire, that will—God has to perform it to the day of Jesus Christ. It is God’s promise in many, many places. I think Philippians 1, we are not going to turn there because I said we will be done soon. You already did not believe me, so I want to gain a little credibility with you. Friend, do not lose your faith. Satan is after your faith. To the last minute, there are going to be some who just say, “You know what? I just believe God is going to work today,” and He will. “This is the day the Lord hath made; I will rejoice and be glad.” I would like to be a part of that crowd right there. Faith. Faith is the key.
You can go to heaven. You say, “Preacher, man, what are you talking about going to heaven? I can’t go to heaven.” No, God puts that desire in your heart for you to go to heaven. He has made a way for you to go to heaven. Jesus made that way. It is not going to be you doing anything; it is going to be you believing in Jesus. Jesus shed His blood—His blood on the cross—that covered and made a way for you to go to heaven, even that desire. God puts that desire. He is not willing that any should perish. If you go to hell, by the way, if you go to hell, it will not be God’s—it is not God’s desire. He wants you to go to heaven. He made a way for you to go to heaven. It will be your choice to deny Jesus Christ. The way is there. It is available. He wants you to go to heaven. He has put a desire in your heart to get saved. The Holy Spirit draws you to Jesus. “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me,” the Bible says. Everybody—everybody has been drawn. Jesus has been lifted up on the cross. It is just a matter of you saying, “All right, I am going to by faith accept the way Jesus has made for me,” or not. You have a way to heaven. It is up to you, your choice.
Would you bow your heads and close your eyes, please? Bow your heads and close your eyes.
Maybe you hear this morning, you say, “Preacher, I am admitting it or facing—accepting the fact—that God has put some desires in my heart. I believe they are from God. I am just going to kind of face this thing. God has put some good desires in my heart, and I know they are from God. I do not know what—I am not saying specifics. I do not know what they are, but You know what they are.” “Preacher, I am admitting it. Face it: God has put some good desires.” If that is you, slip your hand up. You slip it up wherever you have. “Preacher, I am admitting it. Face it: God has put some good desires.” If that is you, just slip it up. Many, many, many hands. Many, many hands. Many, many hands in my hands. God has put some good desires. Maybe some dreams and things about 2021, maybe long term, short term. But God has put some desires. Many, many hands all around the room. Thank you so much. You can put your hands down. They say, “By faith. By faith, I am going to go that way.” Whatever the desires, God has put some good desires in your heart, and by faith, I am going to go that way.
“Preacher, God spoke to my heart. I know I got some desires from God, and by faith, I am going to go that way—that way.” If that is you this morning, you just lift your head: “Preacher, I am going to go that way by faith. God has put some good desires; I am going to go that way by faith.” You slip it up. Many, many hands. Many, many hands. Maybe it is just sin you want to overcome. Maybe it is to be a witness. Maybe something I did not even mention. “I am going to go that way.” God bless you. God bless you. Maybe it is to be a good testimony at school. I mentioned that. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. Maybe it—many, many, many hands. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. God bless you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so very, very much. You can put your hands down.
Maybe here this morning you said, “Preacher, I have never fully accepted that way to heaven—Jesus.” There never came a time in my life when I was born again. There is a time. Babies conceived—babies in the womb typically nine months—but then there is a moment when that baby is born. And, preacher, I do not know that I have been born again. I do not know that I am going to heaven. I am not sure heaven is my home. If you hear this morning, “Preacher, I do not know that heaven is my home, but I would like to know that. I have a desire in my heart to go to heaven, and, preacher, I need to go by faith to accept Jesus as my personal Savior.” Never did that. Never been saved. Not fully sure of that. Do not know that. If that is you, with heads bowed and eyes closed: “Preacher, I do not know that I am saved, going to heaven.” If that is you, just lift your hand there. “Preacher, I do not know that I am saved, going to heaven. I do not know that I am saved, going to heaven.” Slip it up. Slip it up. God bless you. God bless you. Maybe there will be somebody else. “Preacher, I do not know. I do not know. I do not know that I am going to be somebody else.” “Preacher, I do not know. I do not know that I am going to have anybody else.” “Preacher, I do not know.” Do not know that I am going to have anybody else like that.
Thank you for raising your hands. Put your hands down. In just a moment, we are going to all stand, and we will have a word of prayer. As soon as I say amen at the end of the prayer, if you raised your hand and you are not sure if you are going to heaven, would you come down here? There will be some men standing down front here. We will get a lady if you are a lady and show you from the Bible how you can know for sure you go to heaven. I would love to be a help. I want to pray for you also, give you an opportunity to go that way by faith this morning. Would you please stand wherever you are? Would you just stand? And it would be a great, great morning to come down and say, “Lord, thank You for those good desires You have given me. I know they are from You. I am not going to let Satan destroy my faith. I am going to go that way by faith.” Would you let Him know that? God spoke to your heart. Would you let Him know that? In just a moment, we are going to have a word of prayer. As soon as we say amen, we will sing, and would you come down if God spoke to you? Would you do that?
Father, thank You, Lord, that You give us the desires, and then thank You, Lord, You accomplish them through us. Help us to stay in there and go that way by faith. Father, grow our people’s faith this morning. Lord, there is one that raised their hand about salvation. Well, Lord, You will let them know we love them. We would love to be a help. Lord, reassure them that they can go to heaven if they accept the way You have made available through Your Son, Jesus. I pray when they leave, Lord, they will be saved. Bless our people in the invitation. Let us be obedient to You. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Would you come? Would you come? As they sing, would you come? Not sure heaven is your home, would you come? Ask everyone this: Been saved and baptized? By mercy, I am thrilled about you. Let us pray together. Lord, we come. Lord, thank You for Ms. Michelle. Lord, after all the problems and issues and tragedy, Lord, we are still serving You. Lord, I do pray—would You do this right where you are staying? Would you do this right there? Would you say, “Now, Lord, Lord, I want to know, I want to know Your will. Would You give me the desire?” Sometimes my ears are so—I do not hear well. I do not have to ask the Lord. Would You forgive me? Would You speak again? I need that. He is a gracious, compassionate Lord. He so often will. And now, when He has put the desire, it made it clear in your heart, your mind. By the way, sometimes through prayer, it makes it crystal clear. “All right, Lord, thank You for giving that to me. Now I want to go that way by faith. I know I am nothing special, but, Lord, You use just normal people, everyday people, and I will do my best. It will have to be You, Lord. I am yielding, leaning on You. Would You work? I will stay in faith, keep going that way until You lead me elsewhere.” Would you let Him know that? We will sing one more verse. Would you let Him know that as we sing?
