That will be, that’s awesome. I feel like a little taste of heaven before heaven, amen. You know, and just will gather around and worship Jesus. We finally got to go to a Tennessee Vols game a couple years ago. I’ve been cheering for them for years. Finally got to go to the game. Steve Gopher says amen on that right there. And it had a game on a Thursday. And the thing that was just kind of all inspiring to me, we walked out, you know, the stands pretty steep, and we had—we didn’t, you know, we had the nosebleed seats pretty high up there, and it’s kind of middle ways of the field, and you go up these ramps, whatnot, and then you come into the stadium, and there was 92,000 some people there. I mean, just come and you see all those thousands, 92,000 people looking down that stadium.
And it reminded me of heaven. We get to heaven, there will be millions and millions, and they’ll all be centered around Jesus, and all praising Jesus. That’s going to be awesome. I mean, just, and I came in that statement, I’m like, “Wow. We go to heaven. That’s going to be part of it. All the brothers and sisters, worshiping Jesus.” I mean, my wife always says, “You never know what’s going on. You’re just TV.”
I mean, they score a touchdown, and, you know, they’re over here doing somersaults and flips. And they got the own Hound Dog, Tennessee Hound Dog, walk across the stadium, and there’s fireworks go off and everything. You never notice that on TV. Man, wait until we get to heaven, amen. Fire will be singing, and 24 elders will fall at his feet.
All the praise. You talk about music, man, all worshiping Jesus. And his word—it’s going to be awesome. It’s going to be awesome when we see Jesus one day. What a day that will be.
Luke chapter number 17, if you would please, Luke 17. And, you know, I would not recommend giving everything you have to any church or any preacher or any of all this stuff. But to Jesus, I’d recommend giving everything you have, to give everything to him. He’s worthy of it for sure.
Luke 17, and a familiar story, but I just felt like the Lord wanted us to go back and try to pull out a couple things and get some truth here about this story. Luke 17, and we’re going to start in verse number 11 of God’s word. Luke 17 and verse number 11 of God’s word. If you’re there, would you say, “Praise the Lord?” Amen. Praise Jesus. That’s good. That’s good.
Would you stand, please, if you would, as we read God’s word together? Luke 17. We’ll start in verse number 11. And the Bible says, “And it came to pass as He, Jesus, went to Jerusalem that it passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.” We mentioned Wednesday night, but typically Jewish people will go around to get down there, but Jesus said, “No, no, I’m fooling all that prejudice. I’m going right through it.” It lists that, very interesting. Over and over the Bible just kind of kicks aside prejudice, and he loves us all, amen.
And then verse number 12, “And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off.” Now, the reason they were standing afar off is because when you had leprosy, you could not get close to anyone. COVID was not the first time they had social distancing for some, the first time everybody, you know, but the lepers, they had social distancing. And nobody could get close. They couldn’t get close to anyone. In fact, they were required in a crowd, and they’re sitting to cry out, “Unclean, unclean!”
So everybody knows, stay away. I got COVID. You ever want to just get to the front of the line? Just if you banker somewhere and say, “Hey, COVID,” you get to the front of the line, amen, you know. And the lepers, that’s why they stood afar off. Nobody wanted to get close to them. And that’s what’s going on here.
Verse number 13, “And they lifted up their voices.” Notice that voices, all of them is doing this. And they—ten of them—lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.”
And when he saw them, he said it to them. Now, notice he had—and he got close to him. He just saw them. He said to them, “Go show yourselves unto the priest.” Let me stop for a second there. Why go show yourself to the priest? Well, in the Old Testament, once you got cleansed, and in the biblical times, once you got cleansed of leprosy, you would go to the priest. And you would show them; they would examine you. The Old Testament, Leviticus gives a lot of instructions about leprosy and when to call them clean and unclean. And they were to go to the priest, and they would give them an exam. And they’d say, “All right, you don’t have to social distance anymore. You’re pronounced clean.”
Now, at this point, they were not clean. They just crying out, all of them, all to them, “Hey, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” And Jesus saw them. And he said, “Hey, go to the priest.” It was a step of faith. They had not been cleansed. By the way, any great thing done for the Lord is a step of faith.
I’m sorry, in my mind, as you hear there and yonder, I haven’t gave you a report. I meant to give your report. Anybody want to know how the vote went? Anybody want to? Unanimous. Yes. Wow. Praise the Lord for that. Yeah, I like the unity there. Amen for that.
I’ll be honest. I’m a little surprised just all yeses. Pray a little for that. I say, I like unity. What a blessing. Now to get back to this, I’m sorry. I’m all over the place, man. Forgive me for that. But I’ve got to get back to where we’re… Oh, go show thyself. It was a step of faith for them to go to the priest. How do you get saved? For by grace or are you saved through what? They go to the priest out of faith.
Watch what it says, verse number 14. “Go show yourself to the priest.” “And it came to pass that as they went, they were what?” They were—it didn’t happen before, but when they turned by faith, they go to the priest, as they went, they were… Wow, I’m cleansed. You know leprosy, the sores, the running sores, and they eat and eat in the exterior. You can go on the Internet and watch a picture, look at pictures, and it’s a lot of your extremities. A lot of times your ears, your fingers are… Your nose just eats away, just like the rots off. All of a sudden, the sores are gone.
There’s no more dripping of the sores and pus and all the rest of that. They just are cleansed, right? Let’s keep going.
Verse number 15, “And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks.” And he was a Samaritan. A lot of them didn’t—Jewish people a lot of times didn’t treat the Samaritans very good. They’re half Jewish, half Assyrian. Boy, this, that’s the one. He came back. Only one of the ten. This guy came back with a loud voice. He glorifies God, falls down on his face at Jesus’ feet, gives him thanks.
Verse number 17, “And Jesus answering said, ‘Were there not ten cleansed?’” It’s interesting Jesus addresses it. He doesn’t just kind of sweep it under the rug. Let’s talk about the issue. But in ten cleansed, didn’t they heal ten of them? Where’s everybody else at? “Where are the nine?”
Verse number 17, “but where are the nine? They are not found that return to give glory to God, save this stranger.” And he says stranger. It’s talking about a foreigner. Jesus says, all of them, there’s just one. This foreigner. And he said in him, “Arise, go thy way, thy faith hath made thee…” What’s the next word?
“And they were cleansed, but only one was made whole.” I don’t know everything about it, but remember as they were going, they were cleansed. The sores, no more sores. Ever see someone—I don’t want to say too much—my wife used to work in the wound clinic and people, especially their diabetic, whatnot, they get sores that just will not heal. And that’s the way lepers were. And all of a sudden their sores are gone.
But now this guy, he was made whole. Maybe part of his nose was eaten off. Now not only was it cleansed, no more sores, he was made whole. His nose was back again. His ear was back again. It would be me, I’d have ten fingers. Amen. He’s made whole. I don’t know everything, but physically maybe. They’re made whole. They’re cleansed, yes, but the only one made whole.
For just a bit, just a bit tonight, this fault. Are you, am I part of the 90%? Part of the 10%? Where are we at now? One out of ten, 10%. Are we 90? Are we 90?
10% for just a bit tonight would you pray with me that God would speak to us individually? Lord, we need you, Father. Challenge us, Lord. Give us a vision of being the 10%, or forgive me many a time, many a time, Lord, I’m part of the 90th. Father, grow us. Help us be more the more often, Father, a part of the 10%. One man… And Lord, we thank you for what you do. Father, we ask for this in the name of Jesus. We pray. Amen.
10% came back giving him thanks. Let me just give you a couple benefits of the one man that came back to give thanks to Jesus. Every one of us, I don’t care, and if you say you don’t, and you’re probably more than the rest, but all of us battle this thing called pride. All of us do. I mean, it’s just, it’s just part of our sin nature. Praise Lord, Brother Tim, you’re exactly right. We get to see Jesus, no more sin, no more stupid. Anybody have stupid sin? That’s not just everybody else’s. That’s my sin, man. We all got stupid sin, you know? And praise the Lord, that’ll all be done.
And one of those things we all battle is pride. Like I say, if you don’t think you battle it, you probably got it worse than the rest, friends. Come on now. We all battle it. And one of the benefits, one of the great assets of being the 10% is, you know, pride and gratitude, they just don’t coexist. You know, it’s one thing to start off humble. A lot of people start off humble, but to stay humble is a different—is another level.
A lot of people start off humble, God blesses, and when God blesses, whew, humility’s out the window. You ever notice how fame can ruin a lot of people? And they start off pretty good, pretty solid, and let him get famous for a little bit. And wow, a year or two later, they are so messed up. And in the Christian life, it’s one thing someone starts off humble and God blesses a little bit, whether it be in the ministry or their Sunday school class or… or finances, whatever it may be, and after a little bit, they get a new position. Well, it’s been amazing sometimes to watch someone get a position. Wow, everything changes.
And it’s one thing to start off humble, it’s another level to stay humble. And you say, “I would like to stay humble even with God’s blessings, God’s promotion in my life.” Let me tell you, one great way to help you on that: gratitude. Thankfulness. This guy falling down at Jesus’ feet and giving him thanks and giving glory to God—pretty hard to be proud when you’re laying on your face. That probably can be done by his sinners. But it’s going to help you, give you such an advantage at staying humble, being a thankful person. That’s so very important. It may seem like a light thing, but, friend, it is vital.
You know, this cleansing we’ve already mentioned, but cleansing here, them getting cleansed, represents salvation. Anyone, you think maybe a man, men come to my mind, but ladies too, but specifically men come to my mind of someone that maybe they lived a sinful life, and God saved them out of that sinful life, and they’re so grateful. I like to be around those people like that, and man, they’re just, and they’re very expressive about how, and I think of a man right now, so often he would shed tears when you think about God saved him out of such a messed up life, and he was so thankful for that.
Sometimes I can be very convicted. I mean, I, you know, I wasn’t a drug dealer when I got saved. I was only eight. I’d be a pretty good drug dealer to be a drug dealer at age eight, you know. Wow, you know, that’s a pretty good business man there, you know. And I didn’t get saved out of all that. But friend, it bothers me sometimes when they’re more thankful that God saved them out of a sinful life. I ought to be just as much, if not more, that God saved me from a sinful life like that. Because what’s in my heart just as bad as what’s in the heart. Praise the Lord, I had good parents, and I was around a good Christian environment that kept me from going that way. But wouldn’t it be a shame for me not to be thankful for God saving me from a life like that? By the way, I was going to the same hell they were going to.
I had just much sin, if not more, in my heart, and Jesus Christ shed his very same blood for me, just like it did for them. Shame on me, but I’m not thankful for it. And what is shame if we’re not thankful for our salvation? Now, I see those individuals sometime. I’m grateful for them, but I’m convicted. Man, I don’t want them to be more thankful than I am. Surely I ought to thank God for saving me from all that. This guy here was thankful.
Now, I ought to thank God that her name is written in the last book of life, he said. Sometimes we lead someone in the Lord and you know my honest simple truth is about 90% of the time, same as in Bible times. They never come back to give them things. They were cleansed. Shame on that nine men, the 90%. They got cleansed. If you were—they got saved. They got the healing in their body and yet they did never came back to church. Never came back to the Lord. Never were thankful for what Jesus had done for their life. Wouldn’t it be a shame for me to be a part of the 90%?
Now, where am I at? Am I the part of the 10%? Am I part of the 90%? Hey, when’s the last time you just went through your life and thanked the Lord for everything you have? When’s the last time he said, “Thank you, Lord, I’m going to heaven. I’m never going to pay for my sins.” “Thank you, Lord, for my wife. Thank you, Lord, for my son and my daughter and my grand…” When did you just go through your life, your house and your truck and your car and your pets? Hey, friend, we are spoiled rotten in America.
Are you thankful for all the conveniences? You know, for thousands of years, they didn’t have air conditioning. And we complain if they don’t keep up sometimes, you know. And we got air conditioning everywhere we go. I mean, it’s tough for us. And I’m talking about me here, but it’s tough for us to walk the front door of the cars without, you know, it’s so hot.
I’m just saying, friend, we ought to be thankful. We ought to be so grateful and thankful. That’ll do you a whole lot of good to keep from getting proud when you’re thankful people. The 10% is amazing how we got so much.
You know, in three of the Gospels, there’s Jesus—is that this man, Simon. He was a Pharisee. Not Simon Peter. It was at Simon’s house in this moment. Most of the English was Mary, but she comes in and she has this alabaster box. Someone gave me an alabaster box in my office. I meant to bring it over. The illustration. And it had in this alabaster box, it had this very expensive ointment.
Someone here tonight has this this cologne. They said, “I’m the first person in Nashville to buy this cologne.” They pre-ordered it. They said it only cost them $10. No, they didn’t say that. But this very expensive ointment.
And this lady, she broke that alabaster box, and she took that ornament. And the Bible was very clear about it, so it didn’t seem inappropriate. The Bible says how she was behind Jesus, and she fell down at his feet. And with her hair, she began to wash his feet and anoint his feet.
Now, here’s the thing. You know, the 10% of the 90—the 90% started to complain. And specifically, Judas Iscariot. He’s probably the ringleader of the 90%. He said, “Man, that stuff’s expensive. That’s thousands of dollars you’re wasting. We could have gave that to the poor.” I don’t know how much you wanted to give the poor. He was a keeper of the money. He just wanted the money.
By the way, Jesus said, “Hey, the poor you’ll always have with you.” Interesting statement. And Jesus said, “Hey, but this anointing”—he said, “No, I’m not going to let anybody take that from her.” Actually, God’s plan, this was for my burial. But Jesus said, “Everywhere the gospel is given around the world, this lady’s going to be talked about in a good way.”
Then one of the Gospels goes into the story about—you’re talking to Simon. Simon’s one of those 90% over there complaining. And he said, “Hey,” he said, “tell me, Simon, which one’s going to love the most? The one that’s forgiven a little bit or forgiven a whole lot?”
By the way, friend, the honest, simple truth is, all of us are forgiven a whole lot. Man looking on the outward appearance, where’s the Lord look at? Every single one of us got a dirty, defiled heart.
And Jesus is teaching lesson, “Hey, well, I had to realize what all were forgiven for, and he that’s forgiven much, loveth much.” And I want you to think about that room in Simon’s house where this lady takes this expensive ointment, and she breaks it, and she anoints Jesus with it. And think about how that whole room was filled with aroma of that. I mean, just aroma of gratitude. The aroma of worship, the aroma of praise.
And when I walk in a room, is it an aroma of complaining? “Lord, I’m so grateful for all the good things you did for me. I’m so blessed. If I got what I deserve, I’ve been going to hell.” Is it that aroma? Is it an aroma of complaining and moaning and griping and not content? Or is it an aroma of gratitude to Jesus? The 90% or the 10%?
Friend, I don’t know about you, but I’m not there like I like to be, but I sure like it when I walk in the room, there’s an aroma of gratitude. Someone coming back to Jesus and falling down at his feet and saying, “Thank you, thank you, thank you. I owe every good thing I have to you, Jesus.” That’s the truth of it all.
Number one, man, it’s so good. Just three things. And my Baptist preacher of three points, amen. Underneath these points, 97 sub points, you know, but Brother Josh says, “Amen,” that’s what it is.
But number one, man, when you have the attitude of gratitude, it helps you stay humble. That is so important, friends, so of everything. Hey, pride goes before destruction and a hearty spirit before a fall. Hey, you humble yourselves, he exalts you; you exalt yourself, he humbles you. I don’t know about you, but I like to be humble. Humble yourselves, therefore, into the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. How are you going to stay humble? Hey, be grateful, thankful, grateful people.
Number two, number two, only 10%—only 10% were made whole. And all 10 of them were cleansed, but only one of them got his nose back. Only one of them got his fingers back. I don’t know what all it is, but only 10%. By the way, only 10% shows you how naturally, just naturally, we’re not thankful people.
That’s why Brother Donnie and Miss Debbie has to say to Josiah, because Josiah is just like all the rest of us here. Those say, when Miss Chisgarde gives him something or whoever it is, Ms. Patterson, somebody in the school, you know, and they said, “What do you say?” How many of your parents have ever had to tell your kids, “Now, Johnny, what do you say?” “Thank you.” Tell them, say thank you. All of us do. Because it’s not inner. It’s just… It’s not natural for us. We got that nature from out of the dynamic nature, that sin nature. And that’s why, friend, that’s why 90% of them, they weren’t thankful.
And if I just go on my own, you know, I’m not going to be safe. Check it out at work. Check it out. Here’s what happens at work. Tell me if I’m wrong about this. They say, “All right, I’ve got to work overtime.” 90% of them aren’t going to say, “Well, make extra money.” They’re going to say, “Well, it makes me work all the time.” Come on now.
And then they say, “Well, we don’t have enough work, so we’re not going to get eight hours in. We’re not going to get four.” We’ve got to cut the hours. They’re not going to say, “Praise the Lord, to get to go home.” They’re going to complain, “Well, I need that money. I got bills.” That’s just our nature. That’s just where we’re at. That’s the 90%.
We must work at this saying, you know it’s the will of God for you to be thankful? What is it? First Testament? It’s 5:18. “In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” It doesn’t mean that everything that happens in your life is the will of God. That’s not always true, to be honest with it. We don’t have time to get on that. But it means it’s the will of God for you to give thanks in everything. By the thing, “In everything, give thanks.” Not after it happens. All right, I can see it now. No, he says, “In everything, give thanks.”
I was amazed when we have a young man that comes here sometimes, and his brother, oh, about a month ago, was a young man on 24 that was shot and killed. And you may have seen the news. And Brother Chip and Miss Tammy did a great job ministering to him, and they were there at the funeral, and he called them, and I talked to him on the phone, all that good stuff.
And he was the first one in the family. God had really, in the midst of tragedy, did a good thing that the night before, he had hugged his brother. And they had said to one another that, you know, we don’t always see eye to eye. We’re brothers, so we fight sometimes, but I love you. Both of them said, “Hey, I want you know, I love you.” It was just ours the next morning, Saturday morning.
And by the way, his brother had gotten saved months earlier. That was a blessing at all. But the same man said, you know, the next morning, and his family was gone. He was only over the house. The police came, and he was the first one to find out his brother had been shot. And so he had to call the rest of his family. He said, “Hey, Dad, and all along, you know, so-and-so is gone.” And…
But he said this. I was talking to him on the phone. He came to my office and met that day or so. I can’t remember exactly all the time of it all we met. But he said this. I was like, wow. And he was crying to say, “I’m all it and not.” And he said, “You know, it’s so hard for me.” And I was shocked that he remembered this truth, but he says, “So hard for me. He said, but I know it’s… It’s in everything to give thanks.” And in the middle of all that, he said, “I know I’m supposed to give thanks.” I was like, wow. I mean, if I was in his shoes, I’m sure I would not be thinking that. But even in the midst of where he was at and all the tragedy going on, he was like, “Pastor Paul, I’m working at that. It’s going to be hard for me to do.” He was trying to be a part of the 10% for sure.
And there are some things. In fact, his brother had gotten saved months before and got to spend the day. And there was some things that he was working. You know, but it’s that 10% that Jesus makes whole.
I wonder how many Christians, especially when we go through tragedy, that in the end that God says, “That’s the individual. They came back and gave me gratitude. They’re giving thanks the best they can in the midst of this thing.” And God says, “You know what? I’m going to make them not just cleansed, but I’m going to make them whole.”
Someone said this. I can’t remember one of the commentaries, whatnot, and I don’t know that I agree exactly with it, but it’s a good fault. Maybe it’s exactly true. I don’t know. But they said the cleansing was the physical healing and the making whole was the emotional healing. Maybe that was part of it. But the only one that went to the next level, the second blessing, if you will, that Jesus was giving out, the only one that got the second blessing was the one that came back and gave thanks. The 10%.
So when I’m going around complaining and moaning and groaning and blaming and just spending my life in victim mode—well, when I spend my life there, friend, I’m the one that I am not made whole, the 10%. Now go back and give thanks. They’re made whole.
I wonder how many Christians would go to the next level of healing and the second blessing if we came back and gave thanks. This isn’t, well, you know, gratitude is a little bit of things. Friend, it’s a huge thing. It’s just, it’s a massive in the Christian life.
If I’m truly grateful when I’m coming back and giving thanks, it might be a good thing to my prayer time sometimes. You say, “Lord, I’m going to set aside the prayer list and everything else, and I’m just going to spend the day, the hour or so now, but the day, just thanking you for all the 10 million blessings I have in my life.” That’d be a great day in our life. And maybe Jesus says, “Hey, you know what? I want to give the next level of healing. I want to make them whole right there.” The 10%.
Two more. I said three. I’m not a Baptist preacher or not because I got four, but the last two is real quick. You all right? Look in verse number 19, would you please? Verse number 19 here. Luke 17, verse number 19. Y’all going to hang with me since it’s still four, you all still with me though, right?
Come on, thank you for a couple of y’all. Y’all still with me out there? Amen. Look at verse number 19. “And he said to him, ‘Arise, go thy way; thy what?’” Just like the faith cleanses, the faith hath made thee… You know, it takes faith to be grateful.
I was talking about that young man that his brother got killed of that action about a month or so ago here. You know, it took a lot of faith for him to say, “Pastor, I’m trying. That’s going to be tough for me. I think it’s a Zachary’s that’s going to be tough for me. I’m going to try.” It takes a lot of faith. We want to figure it all out and say, “Well, Lord, when I see all the good and I see everything, and then I’ll give you thanks.”
This guy here, it took faith to come back and give faith. And Jesus said, “Hey, thy faith hath made thee.” It’s faith. It’s living by faith and not by sight. And I figured all out, I’ll give thanks. No, no. Just give thanks by faith. That’s very tough, too. Well, this is the 10% that Jesus made whole.
Last thing, I told you, the last two going to go quick. One more thing, one more thing. Verse number 15, would you please? Verse number 15. Oh, we’ll start verse 14. You will just share this thought. “And he saw them.” Jesus saw them. He said, “And go show yourselves as the priest.” “And it came to pass that as they went, they were cleansed.” “And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back.” Now the loud voice glorified God. I won’t finish it all.
Here’s the last thing. Think about before they were cleansed, they had all the time in the world. They couldn’t go live with their family. They couldn’t see their wife. They couldn’t see their children. They were quarantined family reunion. They couldn’t go to it. They couldn’t go to the workplace. I mean, they just had all the time in the world. They’re lepers. They’re pushed out of society. I mean, they got plenty of time. I mean, basically, you just kind of living in leper colonies till you die. And don’t have too busy, but… of a calendar. Well, let me see if I got that right. I don’t know. I’m going over so-and-so. I was going here and I have to worry about all that.
Jesus said, “Hey, go show yourself.” They’ll never cleanse on their way. This guy, his life turned from not busy, having plenty of time to—he got a lot to do now. I got to go tell, you know, my wife. I’ve got to go tell my kids, my grandkids. I’ve got to go tell mom and dad. I’ve got to tell my aunts and uncles. I’ve got to go tell my boss. I can get back my job. Man, I got a lot to do right now. I got to go to the priest first thing and get you officially get this. You know, I’m cleansed. He had so much to do. But he made time. He made time. He made time. He said, “Fooie on the schedule. I’m going to make time to fall at Jesus’ feet and give him glory and thank him.”
It took faith. And it took time to give thanks. It’s something you’re going to have to work out on purpose. You’re going to have to carve out time to give thanks to the Lord. That 10% is the one that was not just cleansed; they were made whole. I don’t know about you, and I’m not saying I’m there, but I sure would like to be part of the 10%.
Helped them for not being proud. Well, I was a leper, I got over it. You need to do this, this, and this. You understand the pride? We’re all there. Now, when you’re grateful, helps you stay humble. Not only that, but man, it filled everywhere he went. They said he’s got an aroma about him, just a sweetness that only gratitude can bring. They’re not—I know at all opinion. They’re giving everybody. They’re just a thankful individual. It brings an aroma about it. Jesus said, “You know what? I got another blessing to give. I’m going to give that next blessing. I’m going to give that next blessing.” I like to be a part of the 10%.
Would you bow heads and close your eyes? Just a couple quick questions. We’ll move on tonight. I’m here myself. I’m here because I’m guilty. But you say, “You know, preacher, I want to be more thankful. I want to be a part of the 10%.” Come back to Jesus and just follow this feeling. Give him thanks. God spoke to my heart. I want to have an attitude of gratitude. God spoke to my heart about that. That’s you tonight.
“Preacher, that’s me.” Just lift your hand up. I’m—I’m with you on that. I’m there. My hands up. I’d like to be part of the 10%. I got to work at it. God wants you, and you can be a part of that 10%. Thank you so very, very much. Many, many hands. Maybe here tonight you say, “I need to thank him more for my salvation.” And don’t rejoice over the demons being subject to you; they’ll change, but you rejoice your name’s written in the last book of life.
“I need to be more thankful for my salvation.” That’s you tonight.
Praise the Lord. Go into heaven. Praise the Lord. Our sins are washed away. Maybe here tonight you say, “A preacher, I’m just going to spend some time giving thanks. Carve out some time. Let it be tonight, tomorrow, whatever it is, but I’m just going to make some time just to give thanks. I’m going to do it by faith.” Maybe a major issue in you. “I’m just going to do it by faith. I’m going to have some specific time just giving thanks to the Lord.” God spoke in my heart about that. That’s you here. Just lift your head up. “Preacher, I’m going to make some time.” Amen. Amen. Just going to carve out some time. God bless you. God bless you.
Would you please stand, please? Have word of prayer. You spend some time of the Lord. Come to an old-fashioned—just spend some time. I’m just loving on him, thankful and grateful to him. Father, thank you. We owe you everything. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord, for this man. Ten percent. Help us, Father, help us to be more those that give the aroma wherever we go: gratitude. Thank you, Lord. You saw that 10%. You made him whole. Help us to be part of that crowd, Lord, Father, please. Jesus, let me pray. Amen.
You come spend some time. Just be obedient. Let’s just give him thanks. We owe him everything. You do that. And let’s just love on him. We all owe him everything. Every good and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of Life. This man came and fell on his face at his feet, giving him thanks.
I guarantee he had much to complain about. “I haven’t seen my wife in three years.” On and on, I could have went, but he just—he’s not going to be part of the 90%. Now gave fame. Be interested if we get to heaven. Maybe he was missing more superior parts, whatnot, than any of them. Plans, though, he came back, gave thanks. Spend my days.
I see it in me. I’m an old grouch when I’m not grateful. My wife don’t wave that way. White Hanky don’t do that right now. But, man, I like to be more grateful. It just brings the aroma about it. Those are the ones the Lord says, “Hey, I think I’ll give them the made whole part also.” And let’s seek to be a part of that.
Glad to have you in the house of the Lord. Praise the Lord, just unanimous. Oh, yeses. Wow. I didn’t necessarily expect that. That’s a blessing. And let’s go forward in faith. You know, just that part right there is a piece of the puzzle. Who in the world is going to buy a place for $2.2 million and share it for a dollar a year? Yeah, that’s just the Lord. And we want to be grateful for what the Lord’s doing. And just God putting it all together.
And, you know, grateful people kind of keep us from getting big-headed, you know. Let’s just praise the Lord for his goodness. He’s so good to us. And we want to praise and worship him and just spend our life like that. Be happier for sure, that’s for sure. And those are the folks at 10% he made whole. Glad to have him. He said, “Preacher, doesn’t preach about that for half of three hours. Let’s go home,” you know.
I’ll be grateful when you dismiss it so we can go by and get some, you know, hot fudge sundae on the way home. How about that there, you know? But we’re all being healthy now, so what’s healthy? We’re going to get some yogurt. How about that now, you know? There we go. Good to have you tonight. Good to have you every single person here. Praise Lord Lord for us. Glad to have you on Sunday night and excited about what God’s going. Next Sunday night, man, it’s going to be awesome. Just praising the Lord for his goodness. A miracle. A miracle of God’s doing. Praise Lord for us, Lord.
